Footprint Simulator Tool for Geostationary Orbit Satellites (Version 2) Generate a footprint based on theoretical parabolic transmitter antenna. Supports multispot beam and elliptical beam(elliptical TX antenna) with user defined TX antenna rotation. Beam is projected on earth/Google maps.
The tool is not generating real footprints but is well suited for educational use. In some cases (for a non-shaped beam) , the generated footprints can be close to the real thing if TX antenna size, frequency & beamcenter is known. |
