For DVB-S2 and DVB-S2X the FECFRAME size is listed in the selection field (68400=normal,16200=short)
Calculation is based on which variable that has changed value.
Put the cursor in another field to trig the OnChange calculations!
By
browsing trough different FEC values it is allocated bandwidth/symbolrate that is keept to the same
value.
DVB-S/DVB-C , ETSI TR 101 290: :
For DVB compliant systems the
QAM/QPSK passband spectrum is shaped by root raised cosine filtering with a
roll-off
factor alpha (). Rolloff=0.15 for DVB-C systems. 0.35 for DVB-S systems. 0.20/0.25 or 0.35 for DVB-S2 and
0.05/0.10/0.15 for DVB-S2X.
For an ideal QAM/QPSK system this means
that all the RF/IF power will lie in the frequency bandwidth:
Allocated
bandwidth = Symbolrate*(1+alpha() )
Roll off as specified by Intelsat:
Intelsat
Earth Station Standard 420: (IESS420e.PDF):
Allocated Bandwidth= (1+Nyquist
rolloff factor)*Symbolrate
Nyquist rolloff factor =0,4 used when rolloff factor is unknown.
Note: 1Mbit/s = 1 000 000 bit/s
